Due to its large size and various receptions rooms, the Omni Hotel is ideal for hosting large conferences and conventions. The rooms aren't very extravagant, but they're nice in terms of decor and comfort.Recommended for:

The Omni is a convention hotel right in the middle of downtown Atlanta and just a few steps away from the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena, CNN Center, GWCC, the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, and Centennial Olympic Park. So there’s plenty to do around town and since it connects directly to the CNN center and Philips Arena it’s a great place to stay if you’re in town for a concert or sporting event. The public spaces are large, very clean and modern. The hotel is actually two towers connected by a sky bridge, and also includes a salon, spa/fitness center, restaurant, lounge, café and gift shop. The spa was recently renovated and I could not believe how spacious the gym is—however the pool is really small (but the hotel gives you access to the CNN fitness center for a small fee, and they have an Olympic-size pool if you really need to get your laps in). I loved the warm earth tones in the rooms and the marble in the bathrooms. I thought the room and bathroom were definitely spacious enough and nothing looked worn-out or out of date. The staff was the friendliest I’ve experienced at a hotel of this size—doesn’t have the impersonal feel of a conference hotel at all.

Needed to visit CNN and this is the perfect place to stay for that as it's part of CNN Center. Add in the food court and restaurants that are in the center and you don't even have to go outside during those hot and sticky summer days. But if you do, you are right near the Georgia Dome for some Falcons football and Phillips Arena for some Hawks basketball.
