The word "omni" is a prefix that means all or all-encompassing. There are multiple Omni hotels in Dallas, but this one truly lives up to its name. It's a mall, a hotel, a convention center, and a spectacle to behold. It's worth visiting even if you're not hungry or tired. There are multiple bars and restaurants, a coffee shop, a gift shop with truly unique and worthwhile gifts, a host of convention halls, et cetera, et cetera.
At night it's a literal lightshow. The exterior of the building is covered in a computer-controlled series of lights that allow them to turn the building into a giant (and I do mean giant) art show. They have even opened it up to artists from time-to-time to allow them to show off their own skills. There's a massive recreation room with a picturesque view of downtown (which is the main picture of Dallas on Gogobot last time I checked), a pool that has marvelous view of the other side of town, and something for everyone to view.
I could go on and on and on about this place, so I won't. Just visit it sometime. It's worth it.Recommended for:

The Downtown Omni is the city’s very own light show. The entire outside of the glass structure is outfitted with LED lights giving passersby Vegas-esque fanfare. Even if you never make your way up to one fo the guestrooms, Bob’s Steak & Chop House and the Owners Box sports bars are an attraction all their own.Recommended for:

The Omni Dallas, located in the heart of Dallas, connected to the Dallas Convention Center and owned by the City of Dallas is the epitome of contemporary Dallas chic charm in a luxurious hotel. There are plenty of restaurants that will be perfect for any mood you could be in and the high end gift shop has great things you’ll want to take home with you, even cooler is that all the art in the hotel is from Texas artists and if you fall in love with a piece you can purchase it to display in your home. You’ll love your room, decorated in warm, inviting tones with fine linens on an amazing bed, there’s also floor to length windows so you can see the city and this is one of the only hotels I’ve been in that comes standard with a television behind the bathroom mirror. After working out in the fitness center, you’ll want to relax in the Mokara Spa and then head out to the terrace infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the city, I've found no better way to end the night, the view is awesome and the lights on the Omni change color depending on what’s going on in the city.Recommended for:
