The Omni Hotel is located in the heart of downtown San Diego right by the Bay and directly next to Petco Park. The staff is exceptional: they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable and happy! The rooms are cozy, comfy and airy. It's a great place to stay short- or long-term.

The Onmi Hotel San Diego is located in a fabulous location within the heart of the Gaslamp District and immediately adjacent to the Ballpark. I have stayed at the Omni as both a guest and have produced events at their venue. I am always impressed with their level of service and attention to detail. The rooms are nicely decorated and are very contemporary. Given the view, location and amenities available, Omni Hotel San Diego is a top choice when staying in San Diego.

I stayed at the Omni Hotel in San Diego in August for a blogging convention. Not only was my room immaculate, my check in was 30 seconds, I was headed to my fabulous room, the internet service was included, the hotel staff was helpful, the room service & quality of food was delightful! I WILL ONLY STAY AT THE OMNI when I am in San Diego from here on out! I also enjoy that it is a family friendly hotel and with four kids, this is a must!

We did Thanksgiving in San Diego last year with my family (who live in San Diego) and my girlfriend’s family (who live in Western New York). My lady’s parents stayed at the Omni and they loved it. I hung out there a bunch and I thought is was great too. It’s super modern looking with all kinds of crazy angles and lots of glass. All the rooms have floor to ceiling windows and a view of some sort, and it’s the only hotel in the US that is actually connected to a sports stadium. So as you can imagine, they offer packages that also include tickets to Padres games. The food is no slouch either, the restaurant on site is McCormick and Schmick’s, which means yummy seafood. It also means a killer happy hour where their delicious burgers are only $2.95 and mussels are $3.95. Plus it happens twice a day, 3-7pm & 9:30-11:30pm. I’m pretty sure my parents come downtown just for this happy hour sometimes.Recommended for:

This hotel is very modern looking, typical of the Omni line. It has a lot of baseball memorabilia displayed in its common areas, and it has a bridge directly into Petco Stadium (home of the San Diego Padres). The basic rooms can be $299 p/n or more and are clean looking, but small. The bathrooms are bigger than normal for a room of its size. In addition to its proximity to Petco stadium, the hotel also is right up against the Gaslamp District and is a short walk to the convention center.
