On The Ave hotel

2178 Broadway, New York, NY, United States
4 reviews

My favorite part about this hotel are the attached restaurants (which will deliver to your room, if you're that lazy...) Serafina serves a great plate of pasta and has great outdoor seating on Broadway for a nice day. Redfarm (opening soon in place of Fatty Cue) is also an excellent option, which may forbid you from ever leaving the hotel... ...

My sister dragged me in here once to try "the best cookie ever" and I'm pleased to say: it was a damn good cookie. HUGE cookie, too.

    Zabar's & Company

0.19 mi from On The Ave hotel
    9 reviews

Great store that is just packed with items. Great place to buy stuff if you want to go off and have a picnic. Even if you don't want to buy anything, it's worth coming here for the experience and knowing first-hand what the place is about when you hear people talk about Zabar's. Because you will.

A great restaurant with an inventive menu. The Chef, John Fraser, executes the food perfectly and the service is always great. Chef Fraser also brought about the whole idea of meatless Mondays and does an amazing job. What he does with vegetables here is top-notch. I’m a real big fan of the pumpkin soup with rosemary marshmallows, cranberry puree and ...

Oh, how I love the New York bagel. H&H is a great place to pick up a bag of fresh bagels for your urban hiking needs. I came here, grabbed a cinnamon raison and an everything, and headed over to the American Museum of Natural History. It was the perfect cheap energizer.

Ok, this is my favorite cupcake chain, I'm always hitting the one in Malibu after my surf. I figure I've earned it working so hard in the water to paddle past those other wave hog boys. : ) This one is near where I was staying. It's a new one, in the mall on the Upper West Side. Lots of ...

This is a great spot that seems to be under the radar. It's almost at gastro-pub level as they have some really good food besides a nice selection of micro-brews on tap. Had a good pulled-pork sandwich with some pretty amazing french fries. Service was good and quick as well.

Sit at the bar and chat it up with Adrian, the bartender from South Africa! Love that there's a portion of the seating that's behind the bar. They offer a pretty extensive wine list for you to choose from.

Grom has a delicious selection of gelato flavors - it's the real deal, too. Their shops in Italy are the same. I've never seen my favorite flavor there (cantaloupe), but maybe someday!

Experienced the prix fixe lunch here, and it was GREAT. The service was top notch, the food was an EXPERIENCE. Amuse bouche, appetizer (I had the uni toast with yuzu - oh man. So good.), I paid a little more for the wagyu, sitting atop of gojujang (very flavorful). The petit fours were a great ending, and house made marshmallows! ...

This is one of my favorite places for dessert and a hot chocolate, usually late at night. It's a bit of a trip uptown, but it's worth it. If you like You've Got Mail, this is the place where Meg Ryan sits with the rose. It's more recognizable as the exterior with Tom Hanks and Dave Chapelle.

The boathouse is a great restaurant to visit when touring NYC. It gives you a reprieve from the business with a walk through Central Park. The lunch menu offers a variety of starters that were very good including salads. Entrees offered vegetarian options, but not a wide selection.

    Wafels & Dinges

0.48 mi from On The Ave hotel

Wafels & Dinges serves up some of the tastiest waffles in New York thanks to its waffle food truck. I had the Bobby Flay throwdown. It was the waffle Bobby Flay made for a food competition against Wafel & Dinges. He ultimately lost, but Wafel & Dinges graciously included his peanut butter powdered sugar waffle on their menu. I loved ...

My fiance is in love with this place! He loves the hot dog, the condiments but I find it ok. It taste like a regular hot dog you buy at the store. Nothing spectacular to me. Maybe it's also because I don't really like any condiments other than ketchup on my hot dog. Well i love cheese, chili, jalepenos, etc. ...
