Our guest, Simon Burrell, on One Aldwych: "Besides being an excellent choice as a luxury hotel, near Covent Garden, One Aldwych does ‘Film & Fizz’ night, which costs a very reasonable £42.50 per person. The evening starts off with a welcome glass of Lallier Champagne, a 3-course dinner in the excellent Axis Restaurant and then you are escorted into their private screening room to watch a recent blockbuster film in digital quality, popcorn and all. I guarantee you will go home with a contented smile on your face!"

Very, very high-backed chairs and outsize bronze sculptures give the lobby a kind of modern, chic Alice in Wonderland feel. The extremely high ceilings and dark wood bar are two more very attractive features. With down duvets, underwater music in the swimming pool, and professional service, One Aldwych is "one" unique London crashpad.

A sleek, trendy and modern luxury boutique hotel with a distinctive collection of contemporary art including over 400 pieces of paintings and sculptures. Each of its 105 modern guestrooms are individually decorated with up-market furniture, state-of-the-art entertainment apparatus, authentic work of art along with bathtubs in the bathrooms. The one, two or three bedrooms suites are spacious; some have private kitchens, terraces and dining rooms. In-room Nespresso coffee machine, complementary Wi-Fi Internet, bathroom TV’s, iPod docking stations, organic toiletries products, complimentary shoe shine, fresh fruit and flowers are standard treats to every guest. Both, the elegant Indigo Restaurant serving Modern European menu and the contemporary Axis offering innovative British flavors perfectly suit pre-theatre guests. The stylish Lobby and Rotunda Bars feature an extensive list of creative cocktails along with wines by the glass on a trendy ambiance. The modern gym with its remarkable swimming pool with underwater music and the heavenly Spa offering a complete range of classic treatments are absolutely memorable. A collection of eight modern meeting rooms that accommodate up to 200 people including a good size Screening Room with beautiful leather interiors, full HD-Ray technology and projector is available for hire. The service is slightly pretentious, and the whole experience relatively expensive.
