Featured in several movies, this is a restaurant with a beautiful ambience and even more importantly, good food:-) It's also really cool because it's a transformed carriage house (i.e., a garage for carriages from back in the day). It looks nothing like the inside from the outside.

One If by Land, Two If by Sea feels like you walked into old time movie set. It is very classic and pretty. A bit pretensions but the service was top notch. The menu and food itself was good but I expected great and it did not deliver. If you have an opportunity to try it - you should do it, but I probably will not be back.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

My boyfriend and I came here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. We chose the Three Course Prix Fixe menu which filled us up perfectly. The grass-fed lamb saddle entree was extremely flavorful and tender. The side of smashed potatoes with truffle was also delicious. The ambiance of One If By Land was perfect; between the pianist, the candlelit table setting with white roses, it all created an incredibly romantic experience.

Take a carriage house, candlelight, grand piano and a live singer and wow! Can you get anymore romantic? Now granted, the tourists have definitely gotten in here enough to sometimes make you cringe but if they dress the part, why not? The food is very good, not fall out of your chair amazing but still worthy of a reservation requirement.
