Compliments to the PayPal app, my friend and I ventured out to try this place during the lunch rush. Spend $5, get $5 back from PayPal, just link your banking account or credit card and be sure to “save offer” first before paying through the app. Basically, you get 50% off, I’m sold!
You have a couple of options here: Rice Bowl (which I got), Onigilly set (3 choices of onigilly), or the Soup set (2 choices of onigilly with miso soup). The rice bowl comes with a side of edamame which I wasn’t too crazy about but it’s healthy. After looking at so many options, I went with the snow crab, spicy shrimp, and soboro. The snow crab was surprisingly fresh and oh so yummy, by far my favorite out of the three that I tried! The spicy shrimp had a nice kick to it and had just the right amount of spice with the rice. It was just so flavorful! The soboro was a delicious and filling and filled me up.
Reasonably priced and a healthy option for lunch that won't induce you to a food coma when you go back to the office!

Onigilly is a new twist to sushi. They wrap nori around a big square lump of rice and add any type of meat or veggie on top. It is very healthy and a great place to try something new in the SF downtown area.

Yummy! The menu has the instructions for ordering and when I was here, there was a worker who was coming outside with menus and to answer questions for people in line. Yup, there's a line out the door, but the place is small; I recommend taking your food to go and walking a block to the BoA plaza for a nice place to sit outdoors and eat.
Order in 2 steps:
1. Choose Onigilly set (or individual), Rice Bowl, or Salad Bowl
2. Choose your flavors (what goes inside the Onigilly or rice bowl)
Btw: it's actually spelled "onigiri", it's a Japanese rice ball. Nice play on name.
I got the lunch set of 3 Onigilly and I really enjoyed my Soboro, Spicy Bacon, and Spicy Shrimp! It also comes with a salad on the side. Everything tasted fresh.
I'll be back to try more flavors since it's so close to my office. They hand you a survey and if you fill it out, you get $2 off your next meal!

I tried Onigilly today for lunch and it was quite tasty. I ordered the Onigilly set with Spicy Shrimp, Sake, and a seasonal chicken option. My favorite was the Spicy Shrimp! The menu is also carefully labeled with gluten free, vegan, and spicy options.Recommended for:Vegetarian
