I love watching basketball and this happens to be the best arena to watch the sport in the world! The crowd gets really rowdy and loud at every game no matter who the opponent is.Recommended for:Local Culture

Well I have been here to the coliseum several times. Mostly to see baseball games. This is a very typical standard kind of baseball/football park. There is also a basketball arena here on site next door.
Both the Athletics and the Raiders play here... The upper decks have good sight-lines as well as the lower levels. There are plenty of the typical things you find at the ball park here. They have your crackerjacks, malts, beers, dogs, etc. There are also several places that you can go to that have mixed cocktails.
PRO TIP: Always take Bart here. It will save you on gas, time, and parking significantly.
I have never parked here. One of the few times that I have found I truly like mass transit. Making it to a game here is one of the easiest things ever. Unless you want to tailgate, but I believe you can only do that if you are going to a raidah game.
The bathrooms are somewhat plentiful and hold plenty of room for the folks who are coming to see a game. Just be forewarned that there are a bunch of jackwagons here who will smoke out and that is very bad, when you have your kids with you. I mean seriously what kinda crap is that? Hopefully the police will remove them, but they do not always get there very quickly.
Overall this is a decent place to watch a game if you are with a group or just a couple of friends. Its not my favorite park or the absolute worst park. Hope you enjoy it as well.

MUSE performance last night was amazing but Oracle Arena was certainly not the best venue for it.
This place is not meant for concert. Doesn't look like there are any real good seats in the house. Either you sit real far away to get a better panoramic view of the stage or you have to settle with a side view but much closer to the band.
I got Club Level seats at section 127. Easy access to bars, food and extra sitting area were quite nice. Parking was $30 and it was a total rip off. Had I know better I would probably park further away and walk to the stadium.

For those of you who don't know, one of my goals is to visit every baseball stadium. So I decided to stop here while I was in Norcal.
Let's just start this off, as an Angel's fan, I share no love for the A's. However, I have to give it to the A's fan, they are a fun crowd to be in, especially when Brandon Inge steps up to bat XD. However, I feel bad for the stadium, it's a really small ball park and the stadium has issues filling up the seats. Also, the parking here is over priced, it's $17, save yourself some cash and just park at the BART station next door, unless it's night time. The pricing for the food is comparable to other stadiums. Additionally, the tickets are cheap here, so I just bought bleacher seats.
Overall, 2 stars for the run down stadium and overpriced parking, but I'll give this stadium an extra star for it's fans.

I just went to the Coliseum for an A's baseball game with 20+ members of my family, and we had a BALL!
There is so much team spirit in the stadium that even if you don't like either of the teams, you will still root for the home team.
The stadium is really clean and the classic baseball goodies are always available. You usually don't have to wait longer than 15 minutes before someone comes down the stairs shouting peanuts, cotton candy, ice cream, or hot chocolate.
If you like to drink beer, make sure you get your last rounds before the last 3 innings, or else you will strike out.
If your lucky, you'll go on a day when they give a free fireworks show after the game. After the game has ended, they open up the field to all the fans. Bring a blanket, and snuggle up with friends and loved ones to experience one of the best fireworks shows Oakland has to offer.
Fun times.Recommended for:Family Travelers

At one time, I was a season ticket holder for the Golden State Warriors so with that being said I was a frequent visitor to what is now commonly referred to as the "O". The location is not the greatest as it sits in a part of town where there is not much to do. But the arena itself, for as big as it is still offers a pretty intimate experience for both sporting events and concerts.

The Oakland Arena is a great venue for concerts. It's huge, but the artists who usually perform here are also huge and put on amazing performances. I've seen Coldplay, Foo Fighters (with Weezer) and Madonna and each time, I've sat in the upper level, but still had an amazing experience.
My brother had season tickets for the Warriors so we were seated in Lower Level 124, which had a great view of the court. It was so much fun, and the acts during time outs and quarters were all really entertaining. There was never a dull moment. If you can score some cheap tickets (lots of tix posted on Craigslist and StubHub), I'd definitely recommend going to a game for fun. You don't need to be a Warriors fan!
Also, I always park in the BART station parking lot when I come here (for A's games too) - it's free and police are always patrolling, so you know your car will be safe. It's just a 5 minute walk over the bridge to the arena/stadium.

The Coliseum was never a beautiful place for a baseball game, but it wasn't all that bad until extra seating was added in the outfield when the Raiders came back. Now it's an atrocity. I've only been to a handful of Major League ballparks, but the Oakland Coliseum is the ugliest. Hopefully the A's will get a decent place to play in one day. It gets 3 stars because the weather is nice and it's easy to get to via BART so you don't have to pay for parking. Also, despite the hideous stadium, I've always had a good time when attending A's games.
