Oregon Museum of Science and Industry

    32 reviews

For a break from cycling along the Esplanade (bordering the Willamette River), park your bike at OMSI, get some refreshment at the cafe, watch an IMAX film or expand your mental horizons in a hands-on or walk-thru experience, focused on topics from biology to physics to zoology. Suitable, generally, for children aged 5 years and up.

    Portland Saturday Market

    37 reviews

Saturday Market has long been a favorite tourist attraction and special stop for locals, and for good reason - there are dozens (if not hundreds) of stalls of arts, crafts, food items, clothes, jewelry, knick-knacks, and anything else you can imagine - much of it one-of-a-kind and also somehow very Portland - lining alley after alley under the cover of ...

Smaller then Powell's on Burnside, but doesn't lack any of the charm, character or amazing inventory. This store is just as great but offers less hustle and bustle or crowds.

State of Oregon: Silver Falls State Park

    6 reviews

Over 10 waterfalls to see in this great park! Two of them you have the pleasure of walking behind. Little over 7 miles of a hike or run around the entire trail and to see the majority of them. But you can drive to several well located parking lots to see the major ones.

    Bailey's Taproom

    8 reviews

Of all the bars I dropped in on in Portland, this one was the most radically awesome for beer geeks. Digital displays over the bar give you the rundown of what's on tap today. It's a great way to discover what's new on the Pacific Northwest brew scene, like Double Mountain's Vaporized IPA made in Hood River.

    Columbia River Maritime Museum

    4 reviews

One of the best maritime museums I have ever been to. I really enjoyed it. So much of the local history took place on the water, both the Columbia and the Pacific, that if you want to know the real Astoria, you need to come here. I thought it was really well done.

    Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

    4 reviews

If you find yourself in Southeast Portland, take a stroll through the charming Rhododendron Gardens across from Reed College. Though small, these gardens pack a lot into a small space - bridges and stairs, ponds full of geese, little benches nestled into forested nooks, and expanses of grass perfect for picnics. And, of course, the rhododendrons and other flower varieties, ...

    Portland Aerial Tram

    10 reviews

The ride itself is kinda cool, but then it leave you as OHSU (hospital) which is kinda wird. Not really a tourist venue! I think it was built to favour transport to workers of OHSU. If you have time on your hands give it a go...
