I loved this little restaurant both for its ambiance and its comida! The place is tiny, located on a quiet street corner in the south end. The walls of first floor, brownstone dining room are decorated with old photos, artisan masks, and what I can only assume are Venezuelan hand crafts. There is additional seating outside on the brick sidewalk in the summer. The menu offers a fusion of Andean and Caribbean tastes and is supposedly based on old family recipes. I recommend ordering small plates and trying a little bit of everything. Cheese lovers will love the arepas, and the bacon wrapped dates are to die for. I was a fan of the light, but filling portion sizes; the food was delicious without being too greasy or heavy. It also doesn't hurt that the prices are so affordable!
