Orlando Hotel Insider
Orlando is a family vacation dream destination. There is so much to see and do in the Orlando area that one trip down may not be enough. Not bringing your family in tow? No problem, Orlando has much more to offer than just Walt Disney resorts.

Orlando Hotel Accommodations

Lake Buena Vista area is packed with theme parks and resort hotels. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, Polynesian Resort, and Animal Kingdom Lodge are some of the top stay choices. The Walt Disney resorts are over-the-top themed, with many of the theme park’s benefits extended to their guests. Other notable resort attractions include Epcot, Universal Studios and Hollywood studios, as well as Seaworld. For resorts located closer to downtown Orlando, the Peabody Orlando has all of the amenities of a resort and is convenient to event centers, like the Orange County Convention Center. For others not looking for a theme park adventure, spas, like the Mandara Spa at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, are plentiful and ready for relaxation after the excitement of thrill rides.

Orlando Attractions
Not looking for theme park thrills? Head to downtown Orlando and the Hard Rock Cafe, the largest in the chain, for some live entertainment and good food. Shopaholics can shop ‘til they drop at the Orlando Premium Outlets, one of the biggest outlet malls in the southeast. Wannabe golf pros will enjoy the 170 golf courses in the area, including Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lounge. Outdoor enthusiasts can take an airboat ride to see native animals in their natural habitat instead of behind the glass. If you’re in town during basketball season, take in an Orlando Magic NBA game at the Amway Center. Of course, there are plenty of hotels nearby. There is no shortage of entertainment when it comes to Orlando. With so many different theme parks, it’s like there are many different worlds to visit in this one, energetic city.

    Disney's Boardwalk Inn

    Disney's Boardwalk Inn

    Class:

    20 reviews
Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

We had concierge-level accommodations at Boardwalk Inn. Room had 2 queen beds and a small "couch." All five of us fit in one room comfortably. The staff in the concierge lounge felt like family and we found ourselves drawn to them for warm conversation. Concierge-levels at Disney resorts are well worth the money. We had breakfast, afternoon snacks, evening appetizers ...

I would give this 5 stars had I stayed here yet. I've eaten at the Sanaa Restaurant twice on separate visits, and I love taking photos of the animals on property. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is the hotel where I hope to stay on my next visit. From my pictures, you can see how easy it would be to sip ...

    Disney's Pop Century Resort

    Class:

Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

The Pop Century is my favourite of the Disney value resorts. The shadow boxes of vintage novelties and the retro décor definitely give it a level of class that sets it apart from the others. They seemed to tone down the usual sugary-neon pop of the All-Star resorts, although they do stick with the large displays outdoors. But this is ...

Until I stayed at a Disney Resort I had no idea how convenient Disney makes everything for its guests. From the Contemporary, I could walk over to the Magic Kingdom or catch the Monorail to Epcot and then catch a bus to Animal Kingdom. There's no hassle with parking and no stress of finding anything. I felt like I was ...

I've stayed here several times before, and I shall be visiting again next year as this is just a superb place to stay! Port Orleans French Quarter rooms were refurbished for its 20th years celebration. The resort is beautiful and full of activities, its property has several restaurants, pools, stores and arcades. The castmembers are all friendly and helpful and I found that the atmosphere helped to create a great attitude among the guests.

I am not sure why the reviews of Disney’s Coronado always make it seem more like the frog than the handsome prince. I had been briefed for a bland experience, but I found Coronado Springs to be quite charming. The fact that it is spread out did not seem like a downside to me. Strolling around the Southwestern architecture and ...
