After living in Orlando for a couple of years and working for Disney and Universal Studios this city is what I call home away from home. The paradise of entertainment it brings something new each season. It´s hard to get tired of this place and impossible to see everything at once.
But Orlando goes beyond theme parks. I advise everyone visiting the city to explore Downtown Orlando and Winter Park areas. There are so much to see and experience... from parks, to restaurants, clubs and art galleries.

A wonderful family vacation, or just a getaway, a resort is a great place to stay warm during the cold months. Walt Disney World is just around the corner, and you can get great deals if you look in the right places! :)

Maybe this was my affirmation at my 11's year old that Dreams DO Come True. This is definitely a family trip to remake.

Walt Disney World is one of the greatest Amusement Parks in North America, if not the world! The castle is close in beauty to my favorite castle in the world, Neuschwanstein. Things to do in Disney World are plentiful and magical.

We had a great time at Walt Disney World with our four daughters ages 13, 16, 20 and 23. We had fast passes so the wait for rides wasn't bad and the weather was great.

Disney World alone is a universe of magic. Sure that's cheesy, but it did all start with a mouse right? So, let's get down to the cheese!

Pretend all you want to be mature but there's no way you can resist the reversion to childhood. And, why would you want to? Disney is detailed, thoughtful, and so well organized that all your cares will slip away. In fact, that's what Walt wanted for a visitor when they came upon the vast lands of Mickey and friends. You'll notice the signs, the greenery, and barely realize you haven't peed for 4 hours and were just fighting over the last salt and vinegar pringle. All your cares melt away at that first sight, smell, and general sensory overload reminder of the excitement you held in youth.

The rest is just part of the incredible experience. Buy yourself an expensive ticket and promise not to think about the costs once inside. Consider getting a package that's all inclusive. And, don't you dare try to visit for the first time without taking at least 3 days (2 weeks) to experience the entirety Disney.

Description

The area surrounding Orlando and Walt Disney World is one of the world's great centers of entertainment. You could spend a month here and still not see and do everything. Of course there's the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but there's also a zoo, two water parks, several shopping districts, a nightlife island, five golf courses and two dozen themed resorts. And that's ... read more
just in the Disney family. While the Disney resorts are all in Lake Buena Vista, about 20 miles southwest of Orlando proper, the entire area is filled with family-centered fun. Add to the mix Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World and a host of museums (including the Morse Museum in Winter Park, with the world's most comprehensive collection of Tiffany glass) and it's easy to see why almost 50 million people a year visit Orlando.
