I have to be honest, Osteria Marco was not on my to-try list for my Denver trip. It just happened to be conveniently open for Sunday lunch while I was there.
I was impressed with their food. The salumi were quite a delightful treat. You won't be disappointed with the chef's assortments featuring both local and imported selection. The arancini, fried risotto balls with mozzarella and roasted garlic aioli, was equally as delicious. What I really love though, is actually their thin crust pizza. It was top notch - paper thin crispy dough with flavorful and bold combination of ingredients. Give their Fig & Crispy Prosciutto pie a try and you will understand what I am talking about.
My lunch was really good. The only thing I didn't enjoy as much as their dessert. Ordered the tiramisu semifreddo which was the special of the day. The semifreddo was frozen and icy. The texture was not right. The taste was uninteresting. It was just sweetness and nothing else. I would probably have been happier with just a panna cotta. That is much to mess up.
Service was diligent and enthusiastic. Our server actually gave good and intelligent recommendation. The lovely outdoor patio is perfect for people walking on a sunny afternoon.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant serving high quality eats without the attitude. Ask for a booth and stick to the substantial appetizers, salads, and pizzas. Entrees are fine but if you're going to drop $25 on a plate of food, there are better restaurants out there. Located on historic Larimer Street.Recommended for:Foodies

I went here with my wife after watching a bike race along cherry creek. The dining room feels like a quaint wine cellar. The pizzas are made from fresh ingredients and the flavor combinations are unique and memorable. The outdoor seating looks out on a busy and attractive Larimer Square.

We had a group of 9 with a good sampling of food. Service was very good in this brick walled relaxed space on Larimer Square. The beef carpaccio, gnocchi and wild mushroom robiola pizza was good. Lamb meatballs were good if you like the stronger taste of lamb. The cobbler and gelato selections were ok but nothing off the charts.

Very good Italian in an attractive brick basement space in Larimer Square. They make and cure several of their own meats and cheeses, which are delicious, and the other dishes we had here were great, too. Make a reservation, because they book up really quickly.
