Under an hour away from Suva it is a favorite weekend location for expats. The Pearl Hotel is a nice relaxing spot, and Uprising is fun for the partying backpacker type. Get out to the islands though!

Don’t try and hold your breath through this description, as Pacific Harbor has a long, long list of amazing attractions. Located centrally on the southern coast of Viti Levi, Pacific Harbor is among some of the most pristine natural attractions anywhere in French Polynesia. The beaches here are long, clean, safe and above all, numerous. Beqa Lagoon is located just offshore here, and has become known as the "soft coral capital of the world" after famous oceanographer Jaques Couseatu declared it as such. Some popular attractions include (breath) big fish feeding, game fishing, reef fishing, white water river rafting, jet skiing, surfing, sailing, kite boarding, hiking and scenic tours. Phew. On top of that there are a number of quality restaurants, hotels, and Fijian performance locations to be enjoyed here, in addition to an eighteen-hole golf course. With everything Pacific harbor has to offer it’s no wonder it’s far and away the most popular area in Fiji among tourists and adventure seeking locals. If you are vacationing on Viti Levu and have any desire to enjoy anything fun associated with Fiji, you are likely going to be doing it in this beautiful coastal area.
