This kid-centric small-scale amusement park sits right on Santa Monica Pier, stretching out into the Pacific Ocean at the western edge of LA. Most of the rides won't thrill adults or even teens, but taking a ride on the solar-powered Ferris wheel around sunset or after dark is one of my favorite things to do in this beach town.

Crammed into a small space, overpriced, lacking any unique rides Pacific Park can still be charming if you're with someone special.

Pacific Park is located at the end of Santa Monica Pier. It's a typical amusement park with rides and carnival games. It's cute, but VERY crowded.

Pacific Park is a really nice area on Santa Monica Pier. It looks really cool when the lights go on. However, no matter how nice this place looks, it does not make up for the fact that everything here is so expensive! They have chains like Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Coffee Bean, etc., but all these places are overpriced. I guess it's expected though since this is located at the beach. There are games and rides here as well but the tickets to play these games and get on these rides cost a lot! Pacific Park is a nice place to hang out with friends or visit as part of a date, but just don't expect anything to be cheap. Just try to enjoy the atmosphere and have fun.

Fun for the whole family. And a nice place to go on a date. There's a ferris wheel, and docks where you can go fishing. Plus, there are arcades and restaurants.

Description

Pacific Park, the West Coast's only amusement park is only a few steps away from the Santa Monica beach. Join millions of visitors each year as you try out the rides and midway games. The ocean front's specialty restaurants and food carts offer many choices for lunch and dinner. The pier itself offers a beautiful view of the horizon, offering you a scenic stroll as the sun sets. This landmark started operating on September 9, 1909 and continues to serve the City of Santa Monica today after surviving the stormy weather in the 1930's.
