Pagosa Springs is the epitome of the Rocky Mountain Highlife. Snow capped mountains, chill-you-to-the-bone lakes, evergreen forests and some hot, stinky springs for world weary travelers such as yourself. No doubt about it, Pagosa Springs will put some John Denver in your head just as sure as it will get you a smelling like rotten eggs (and that's a good thing :-)

What a cute town! This was our first visit to PS and we really liked it. The hot springs are sulphur, so you must not mind the smell to use the pools. We opted for tubing down the river, which the kids LOVED!

I love this town! It's full of hippies and people that just want to enjoy life. I've been there a few times and loved every minute of it. The mountains are gorgeous and some great trails are just minutes from downtown. Plus, they have a great spa right on the river. If you pay the price you can take a dip in the natural hot springs.

Sweet little town in the San Juans. Great downhill skiing at nearby Wolf Creek resort, hundreds of miles of trails to hike or mountain bike with nice (though smelly) hot springs to soak away your cares. Some good restaurants make this a nice place to relax for a day or week.
