The Palatine, overlooking the forum, was the home of the Imperial Palace and the seat of government power for centuries. Guided tours can point out the significance of each courtyard and ruin. It's also probably the best place to get a good vantage point on the ancient city.

Palatine Hill overlooks a series of remnants of ancient monuments and buildings. It can be a bit of a walk, especially on a long, hot summer day, but it's worth it if you're an ancient history buff. In addition, it stands above the Roman Forum, so you get a great view of the Forum.Recommended for:History Buffs

The Palatine Hill is the most central of the Seven Hills of Rome, and is one of the most ancient parts of the city. It stands some 40 metres above The Forum, looking down upon it on one side, and upon the Circus Maximus on the other. It is a lovely place to walk for a few hours, and offers spectacular views of some of Rome's most significant landmarks.

Definitely plays second fiddle to other sights in Rome. Could easily be accused of being just a pile of rocks. Interesting enough but requires imagination.
The Roma Pass is highly recommended if you don't want to wait in line.

A lovely place to rest with views of the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill is one of Rome's famous hills. The walk is lovely and the place is historic. It's worth a visit if you're already visiting the Foro Romano, but the view isn't anything compared to Gianicolo in Trastevere.

View of the emperors garden on the Palatine hill in the Centre of Rome. This is an amazing area with more antique content than I could imagine before visiting the site. The Colostrum and Fora Romania is in the same area, equally amazing. - 1 star for a bit of a lack of explaining signs. For the best experience. you should probably take a tour, which I didn't. :)

Nothing spectacular just a tree but what made it special is that this tree is standing tall and alone in the middle of every stone of blocks inside the palatine hill. I just think it is beautiful with a spooky funny feature, just right for this Halloween season :) see for yourself.
