The Palau de la Musica Catalana is one impressive building! It was designed by the Catalan modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and every day there are guided tours which allows visitors to witness its palatial beauty up close. For a really special way to see the palace though, take in a show. Almost every night there are shows that range from flamenco performances to opera to Spanish guitar.

Wonderful architecture ! You'll spend hours just looking at it. Do not hesitate to come inside and come at night for a show. The scene is so beautiful ! And for you to know it : it's not a Gaudi's piece ! But it was built by Domènech i Montaner.

The tour was very interesting and gave me a new appreciation for the architecture and decor. The highlight of the tour was hearing the organ play Phantom of the Opera. The acoustics in the building were incredible! The music vibrated down to my core!

One of the most amazing places I've seen. Take a tour and if you're lucky like I was, someone could be rehearsing in the main theater and you will get to hear the amazing acoustics. I got to hear a chamber choir rehearse and it just put this place over the top.

If you like wild architecture, make a point to see the routinely overlooked Catalan Concert Hall (Palau de la Música Catalana) while you're in Barcelona. This concert hall, finished in 1908, features the best Modernista interior in town (by Lluís Domènech i Muntaner) and a fun and playful exterior.

Inviting arches lead you into the 2,000-seat hall. A kaleidoscopic skylight features a choir singing around the sun, while playful carvings and mosaics celebrate music and Catalan culture. Admission is by tour only and English is available (reserved in advance). It's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Absolutely beautiful concert hall in Barcelona. The interior is stunning, particularly the ceiling. In 1997, the Palau de la Música Catalana was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it's definitely worth a look.

The Palau de la Música Catalana and the Hospital de Sant Pau, are two of the finest contributions to Barcelona's architecture by the Catalan art nouveau architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner they were jointly inscribed to UNESCO's World Heritage Sites in 1997.
