Palazzo Magnani Feroni

Borgo San Frediano 5, Florence 50124, Italy
5 reviews

I stayed here with my parents at the end of a very long study abroad program. I think my parents thought it would be a bit more modern than it is, especially for the price, but it's certainly an exceedingly nice hotel that really attempts to highlight its strengths. Compact, very walkable and gorgeous. Only detractor is the tourist hoardes. A must visit on the planet -- but preferably when the kids are in school.

    Santa Maria del Carmine

0.14 mi from Palazzo Magnani Feroni

This pza. is a good place to park your car for sul'Arno walks; to the Pitti Palace and Santu Spiritu Church. Look in the open doors during business hours (also evenings) to see craftsmen working in their own shops and studios. There is usually a dance club at night but they have to quiet down by a certain hour. Inside ...

If you have a shoe problem (like me), then you won't want to miss this amazing store. They have just about every Ferragamo shoe known to man in here! If you like looking at beautiful women's and men's footwear, this place is a must-stop if you are in Florence. The staff was delightful and friendly (not snobby at all), and ...

Amazing panoramic views from this top floor bar on top of the Westin hotel. You can see the Duomo, the river, the Ponte Vecchio and more. Crowd was older and not very hip.

I met Mara's boyfriend while I was kayaking on Elba Island, and he suggested I visit her shop, near the Pitti Palace. Mara was warm and welcoming, and showed me the highlights of her stunning handmade shoe collection that were on display. She has a small selection of ready-made shoes, but for a real thrill, have her make a pair ...

This spot has the look and feel of a slightly awkward gay bar but is very straight and very local. A welcome break from the heavily touristed spots on the other side of the river. For pre-dinner in warm weather, this is the perfect place to enjoy a spritz outside and everyone seems to have one. The pre-dinner happy hour ...

Lovely brand museum. Only of interest if you like fashion and want to learn about the history of this house. More about the evolution of style than the actual history but nicely presented. Most personalized / attentive museum visit I have had. The attached cafe is also gorgeous. The museum also hosts small special exhibitions.

Both the address and the hours posted here are wrong. Be sure to check with the official website before you set out for the museum. But the museum is great. There's a neat interactive part at the end.
