The Cathedral is a chimera of architectural styles. From the outside it looks something like a fortress with battlements fringing the upper areas. There's also a grand dome and maybe the only clock I've ever seen on the side of a church. The courtyard is studded with statues of popes. The interior is less interesting with classic baroque frescoes of scenery and biblical stories along the walls.

This cathedral is deserving of a visit, the architecture alone should take a few minutes to digest. There are many different styles to be noticed throughout the cathedral and for me it is rather unique and memorable. The grounds are well kept and you can see locals walking around the paths or sitting on the outer walls.
