    Pie for the People!

    9 reviews

Good stuff. So good they've become a staple feature at music festivals around the country. But this is their home turf, where one can get a slice of NY style deliciousness en route to the trails of the desert or back out on the other side.

    Fisherman's Market & Grill

    12 reviews

In downtown Palm Springs, this casual seafood spot is actually pretty fun. It's also lot more laidback (not to mention less expensive) than other places to get dinner over on Palm Canyon Dr. Seafood in the desert? I know what you're thinking. But really it's a decent lunch or dinner feed, with huge plates, daily specials and of course, discounts ...

It's way out in North Palm Springs, but it's one of the best breakfast experiences you could have. Be prepared to wait in a long line, and if you eat bacon, don't miss the bacon flight. Their house coffee is almost as good as the french press at the Ace/King's Highway.

    Lulu California Bistro

    53 reviews

Huge, glam, pretty good food, mediocre service, and great people watching. That pretty much sums the place up. Large, puppy-unfriendly patio in front. Insider secret: there's a discounted bar food menu available when seated at the bar or in the bar area.

    LA Quinta Resort & Club

    37 reviews

Great place to visit and have a drink on the courtyard gardens while listening to the night's live music. Or just stroll the beautiful grounds and tour the historic building where it all started. Several bars, restaurants and shops onsite.

    Koffi Palm Springs

    25 reviews

This is the second of three Koffi locations in the desert. This one is right next to the Ace Hotel, and across from the Saguaro Hotel. It's a little further than Starbucks (from our vacation homes), but it's worth driving a bit to support a quality local business like Koffi. The new Rancho Mirage location is a little quieter (more ...

    Sherman's Deli & Bakery

    26 reviews

In my experience, authentic Jewish deli's are few and far between in Cali, and this one is fabulous, with excellent food, a wide array of traditional dishes, and they don't skimp on the quantities. From monster sandwiches to monster deserts, with matzo ball soup, chopped liver, gifilte fish and more in between. You're almost guaranteed to find something new to ...

    The Tropicale

    23 reviews

Very good food and drink menu in a great garden patio setting. The indoor setting is okay, but I much prefer the patio. Happy hour is full of happy people and happy deals on food and drink, especially on Friday it seems. Consistently good service.

Famous for their delicious "bear claws". Lovely little coffee shop in Old town. Consistently great coffee, outside patio seating, really yummy wraps...I recommend the greek wrap. Enough to split for two. Just a short stroll from the house!

    Palm Springs Koffi

    16 reviews

Why go to Starbucks, when you can enjoy a local Palm Springs Koffi experience at one of three valley locations. Besides two blends of Koffi (European-Medium or American-Dark), they have decadent pastries, fresh squeezed juices, and decent sandwich options, too.
