    Parque Natural Metropolitano de Panamá

    3 reviews

This is a beautiful park in Panama City. There are several hiking trails available and entry was $2.00 for any of the trails. There is a shorter 45 minute trail if you're tight on time, but there are also much longer trails that promise more opportunity to see some exotic animals. We didn't see any birds or cool wildlife (decided ...

    Panama Canal

Loved seeing the canal. You don't have to be interested in engineering to appreciate the canal. There is a movie that is available in English and Spanish that you can watch and will inform you all about the Canal. The museum located at the Miraflores lock is also really interesting. Hopefully you get there and be able to see a ...

    Miraflores Locks

    7 reviews

If you visit Panama, you obviously have to go see the canal, however it is not the most interesting attraction in the world. The museum is pretty interesting, it provides history of the canal and how it works. When you are finished with that, you can go to the fourth floor viewing balcony and if you are there at the ...

    Panama Canal

    5 reviews

An amazing example of engineering. If you are in Panama City it is an absolute must. The museum and video about the canal construction is relatively small, but pretty interesting. Nevertheless, these attractions are pretty minor in comparison to actually seeing the canal, and seeing how a ship moves through the levies to move from the Pacific to the Atlantic ...

    Chagres River

The Chagres river feeds Gatun Lake whose fresh waters are used to operate the Panama Canal. Near the town of Gamboa, you can visit the Embera village by just taking a 5 minute dugout canoe crossing. Av Balboa

    3 reviews

Ave Balboa is the main thoroughway of Panama City. This should better to call a boulevard or highway because of its multi-lane set up and its "wideness". This avenue does get very congested during rush hour though. We know...we were caught in it but the views of the city skyline is pretty spectacular though.

Red Frog Beach is a gorgeous white sand beach on our island 5 minutes away by boat. There are several restaurants to grab lunch, a volleyball net and our favorite place to swim in the calmer months. There is a $3 admission fee to this beach because it is maintained by The Red Frog Development.
