Paradise Point Resort & Spa

I recently stayed in Bungalow 515 for my 2 nights at the Paradise Point Resort. My door opened up to a pleasant lagoon, with Paradise Cove being just across the access road behind me. The room was roomy and attractive, the bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was strong and with no password step, plus the soft towels went well with the ...

Out on its own, towering in a lush compound right in front of the boat docks in Mission Bay is the Hyatt Regency. This hotel has been here for a long time, but has been remodeled, with the interior in simple but elegant neutral beige tones. The grounds are a little bit like a Hawaiian property with its green plants, ...

To rent paddle boards on the Bay can be an easy task as there are so many rental companies, however when searching for 2 boards at a time we had trouble. Finally the rentals at The Bahia resort had 2. Cost $25 an hour which is about $5 more than most places but it was easy and the staff was ...

Well I just spent a bunch of time here this weekend and its a very nicely situated hotel with nice but not posh accoutrements. Its on the expensive side, but it sits on mission bay and mission landing. It is also a hop skip and jump, yes the infamous triple jump, from Sea World. There are multiple wings of this ...

As a San Diego native, I've been to concerts at Humphrey's music venue, but I had never been to the hotel side before. Entirely secluded from the outside world on Shelter Island, the resort feels like a slice of Hawaiian paradise. Palm trees wave in the fresh breeze off the marina, quiet walkways snake their way around little waterfalls and ...

"Try it, it's better than it looks." My mom used that to try and persuade me to eat various mystery foods when I was growing up, and she was usually wrong about the "better" part. However, I'm going to use her adage in this case and apply it to Sommerset. On the outside, it has a plain and deceptive facade. ...

First of all, yes, this hotel is expensive. It's located right across from the airport, the marina is right outside the door so you can walk along the water, and the area around is beautiful. There's a $22 daily fee for parking, and wifi is not free either. Luckily for me, I was there on a business trip recently so ...

Man, what a location! You’re literally crawling distance from the beach. You can sit poolside, order drinks from the Caribbean Room (their bar), and watch all the beautiful tanned and toned Pacific Beach bodies cruise by right in front of you. While I’m not sure exactly what the motif is with regards to design (other than fake plants), it doesn’t ...

Very clean hotel and helpful staff. Improving this hotel would be to make it more quiet. Cars and the garbage truck can be heard easily. Oh, a more spacious parking garage would also help.

Don't let the chain gang name fool you! This mid-century modern hotel on the waterfront is tiki fabulous. Ask for a top-floor room in the Casa Marina building facing the boat docks, which will get you a private balcony with views. Only about 20 minutes from downtown San Diego, but soooo relaxing. Affordable, too!

I've stayed at quite a few Courtyard hotels, and this by far has one of the best views. As always, I experienced the friendly staff service that's a standard with Marriott. Wi-Fi and parking are also free at this location. They gave me a corner room, which I'll probably consider getting every time I stay at any of their hotels ...

This place is definitely a little more bare bones for those trying to save some cash while out and about on vacation or a short business trip. I feel like this place needs some updating. Because of the uninspired and plain fabric patterns on the furniture, the Old Town Inn just feels like it could be any motel in the Western part of the United States. But the pool was refreshing, the rooms were clean, and the staff was very nice. Being near Old Town was nice ...

Marriott is almost always where I'd look first for a hotel, unless other places have a better deal. I really lucked out when I picked this one. It's lobby had been remodeled, so it has a very modern feel to it. Their front desk area was unlike anything I've seen and the touch screen tv directory was total eye candy. ...
