This is another of the small towns on the Seine although I would say that it is very nondescript. It is a place to walk around a town without the tourists but the main reason our boar docked here was to go to Auvers-sur-Oise and see where Vincent van Gogh lived, painted and is buried.

For tourists who want to see France, outside of Paris, this is an example of a typical city of France in the "banlieue" if you want to understand what that means. This is also the city where Thierry Henry, one of the most famous French soccer player, was born and grew up. This city is a mix of green landscapes, ...

Giverny is a nice little town, but the real reason to go there is to visit Claud Monet's home, garden and water lilies, which are located about a mile outside the town. This small town Chartres is a great place to visit if you are staying in Paris. The town itself is not that big, and you can get there by a short train ride from Paris. The cathedral is one of the best Gothic architectures in the world. The stained glasses in the cathedral survived the wars. Beautiful art.

This a nice little town on the banks of the Seine. The main reason to come here is to go to the gardens at Giverny. We liked walking around the town because most of the tourists are at the gardens so you can get a slice of France unencumbered.
