5 Rue du Nil, 75002 Paris, France

The chef used to work for "Fifteen", the restaurant owned by Jamie Oliver (Yup that British chef on Food Network) in London for 15 years. So Frenchie's got some celebrity color to it, but the food quality is no bluff. The menu runs traditional French with surprising creativity here and there. Reservation recommended.

The best hot chocolate ever. Huge portions. Lots of french women in fur coats with little dogs. Kid friendly. Very friendly service.

    Breizh Cafe

109 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75003 Paris, France
    8 reviews

This is a very original small cafe in the heart of Marais. They serve galettes (savoury crepes) from Brittany region mainly. They also have a very broad menu for sweet crepes as well. Food is superb and original. Sometimes they would also have oysters (Brittany style) If you are lucky, you can taste them before or after a huge galette...

    Chez Gladines

30 Rue des cinq Diamants, 75013 Paris
    8 reviews

Though Chez Gladines serves basque food, I've rarely been to a place so reminiscent of traditional french conviviality. This no frills restaurant is loud, busy, cheap, young, and cheery; with checkered table cloths, (thankfully) never-ending portions, and free-flowing wine. Come hungry and early, especially if your party is bigger than two people.

    Refuge des Fondues

17 Rue des Trois Frères, 75018 Paris, France
    7 reviews

Super fun and funky, no frills fondue in Montemarte. Ressies highly recommended. Short skirts not recommended, unless you like showing your bizness.

    Le Bouillon Chartier

7 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009 Paris, France
    9 reviews

This is a parisian experience... the place is old, nothing special, very good food, not expensive, very old waiters who love to argue :) As I said it is an experience...

    75 Avenue des Champs-Elysées, 75008 Paris, France
    9 reviews

To be fair, I'm not a huge macaron fan, but Laduree is overrated and already everywhere else in the world. There are better spots for an afternoon treat. Though, the attached tea room looked adorable, and might be worth a (likely expensive) shot.

84 Rue de Varenne, Paris 75007 France
    4 reviews

One of the great Paris restaurants, run by the famous chef Alain Passard, Arpege is the sort of place one visits but a few times in one's life. Known for haute vegetarian cuisine, Arpege is a restaurant I really liked, but it did not have the knock-your-socks-off awesomeness of l'astrance or Guy Savoy.. That said, more virtuous diners might disagree ...

    Le Cafe Marly

    7 reviews

Despite the sometimes spotty service, Cafe Marly is still a favorite standby, especially for dining with visitors. The slightly predictable Costes brothers menu has something for everyone and offers everything from Foie Gras to cheeseburgers, (but no French fries), making this is a good place to go with a group and a safe bet with children. The view from the ...

    404 (Le)

69 rue des Gravilliers, Paris 75003, France
    7 reviews

Had American Thanksgiving here, and it couldn't have been any further from what was going on at home in NYC (in the best way)! :) Moroccan, tagine, shared tables, loud music, great ambiance, belly dancers...the food is decent to good, service is ok to less than ok, but you go here for the fun and the place is gorgeous.

    Le Ciel de Paris

33, avenue du Maine, Paris 75015 France
    6 reviews

One of the best places to see the sunset, city view, and Eiffel Tower. Come here for sunset, and you'll be amazed at the view and the city. The bar staff is friendly and they don't pressure you if you just sit at the bar for a drink while you watch and wait for the Eiffel Tower lights to come ...

    Le Fumoir

6 Rue de l'Amiral de Coligny, 75001 Paris, France
    5 reviews

Le Fumoir opposite the Louvre in it’s classical style is my favourite place for after work cocktails, particularly in the winter when when the wood lined walls make the large room feel cosy. There have a 6€ happy hour menu before 8pm but get there early as tables are always in demand. The food is excellent, if a little pricey. ...

    Pain Vin Fromages

    3 Rue Geoffroy l'Angevin, 75004 Paris, France
    3 reviews

If you want to have your cheese, and eat it too, in about 76 different ways, head to Pain Vin Fromages (Bread, Wine, Cheese). The sections of the menu include Fondue and Raclette. Cheese and meat plates from each area of France are listed on a cute little map, and the wine list includes some delicious bordeaux. Casual, friendly, with ...

    Le Relais Gascon

6 Rue des Abbesses, 75018 Paris, France

This place has the best salads I've ever had. They're huge and absolutely delicious. The staff is wonderful, and it's in a great part of the city. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in/around the Montmartre area of Paris.

    Pari's Cafe

    174 Avenue Clichy, Paris, France
    5 reviews

This is such a great restaurant if you're near the Porte de Clichy metro or RER stop. They have the best escargots I had in Paris, with great flavor to the dish. The duck dish and the Sole Meuniere were very good too. The service is a little slow (as it is in most of Europe), but that does give ...

    Le Cherche Midi

    3 reviews

Fantastic Italian food In a convivial and warm environment on the rue cherche-midi. If truffles are in season, splurge on the plain pasta covered in fresh truffle shavings-- it's unbelievably good and if you are going to treat yourself to truffles, you might as well do it here.

    Café Pouchkine

    64 Boulevard Haussmann, Paris, France

Had the most gorgeous pot of hot chocolate here! Yes, it's 7 euros and yes it is worth every single cent. You get to sit at the glittery silver bar, be served your drink in the fancy chocolate pot and sip hot chocolate that is at once smooth and chocolately, but not overwhelming. The cakes there are also amazing. They ...

    La Maison du Chocolat

    19 Rue Sèvres, Paris, France

They don't name themselves the "House of Chocolate" for no reason. Mmm, I had a chance to sample some of these decadent heavenly bites, soo pure and chocolatey tasting. I must be making up words to describe something so sinfully good. They have a couple of stores in Paris, at the airport, Japan, and in New York. Please expand!
