    Musee d'Orsay

    222 reviews

This is my favourite museum in the world. Yeah, I know I haven't been to them all but I've hit some of the biggest and this, by far, is my favourite - because it has the most extensive Impressionism collection I've seen in one spot. I really did prefer this over the Louvre. There were fewer people and it's not ...

    Jeu de Paume

    6 reviews

Jeu de Paume is a small museum at the end of the Tuileries that somehow seems to escape the hordes of tourists. Their exhibitions are usually incisive and focused, showing works from the 20th and 21st century. Check the exhibition calendar to see if it piques your interest.

    Point Éphemère

Really great collection, especially from the Gothic style (once known as the French style, because the French were considered masters of this style). Worth a look if you enjoy medieval architecture.

My favorite photo gallery. A little tough to get to deep on the left bank. But worth the trek.

    Viaduc des Arts

    1 review

Amazing ateliers (workshops) of French artisans making anything from hats, to hand-painted bone china, to umbrellas. I liked to walk the Promenade Plantee above the shops and restaurants in one direction and shop in the other. Makes for a lovely stroll.

    Grand Palais National Galleries

    1 review

This is where the very best art exhibitions happen. Beware, though, you'll probably face about 4 hours of queues outside, so come early or try to buy your tickets in advance.

I found people (except my friends) pretty negative towards Americans. Can you blame them?
