    Eiffel Tower

5 avenue Anatole France, Paris 75007 France
    1492 reviews

The view from the top is great and a must for first-time visitors, but the best way to truly experience its magic is approaching the Eiffel Tower from any small Parisian street. When you spot it (which is not a very hard thing to do), just walk to it. If it is during sunset, better. Just keep walking (no maps ...

    708 reviews

Did you know that the first Sunday of every month admission is free for everyone at the Louvre? I found out months before my trip and asked some friends who had been if it was worth getting up early and waiting in the long lines for. Well of course I was going, it was just a matter of when. Admission ...

    Notre Dame Cathedral

    6 Parvis Notre-Dame, Paris 75004 France
    573 reviews

Walking up to this awe inspiring building on a cool fall morning just took my breath away. I had to stop...and look...and look. You must avoid the crowds so you have a more intimate experience with the building - the stained glass windows, the many archs, and just the intricate details that were put into the creation of this building. ...

Forget the Eiffel Tower, instead wander up the winding cobbled streets and steps to the beautiful Basilique du Sacre-Coeur – the highest point in Paris. Overlooking the twinkling lights of this romantic city, with the stunning landmarks as a backdrop, it sets the scene perfectly. Quai Branly, Paris 75007 France
    269 reviews

The Seine river edge makes a great place to walk, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light is low and makes the rock/brick banks glow.

    Musee d'Orsay

62 rue de Lille, Paris 75007 France
    222 reviews

This once upon time train station has been rehabilitated into this gorgeous museum. The architecture itself of the museum is just what can make you satisfied if you're not into Art. But I do love art, and had learned all these modern paintings in college, so seeing them live, at their actual size was pretty fascinating. I loved it even ...

Off Boulevard de Rochechouart, Paris 75018 France
    193 reviews

The section of Paris I love the most! It is colorful and the people lively! The two main reasons to come to Montmartre are The Moulin Rouge and Sacre-Coeur Basilica. Underneath the Basilica is the artists quarter, where the beret's are creating more beautiful pictures of Paris in all of it's glory.

    Jardin du Luxembourg

    Boulevard Saint-Michel, Paris 75006 France

There's nothing like sitting on a bench overlooking the sailboat pond to make visitors feel briefly Parisian. The gardens are stunning and the families gathered here really make the area feel alive.

The famous Moulin Rouge! Newly done and revived and in operation! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they still do performances here. They are a bit on the pricey side but I would still love to go!

    Quartier Latin

Cinquième et Sixième Arrondissement, Paris 75005 France

Way too many tourists to be really enjoyable but a must-see and there is a reason this neighborhood is completely overrun. I try to avoid now but for first time visitors this is a must.

    Place de la Concorde

Must be the largest square in the city. A massive open space right in the heart of downtown. The big square always seems to be buzzing with activity.

The Pompidou is a cool place inside and out. There's a fun water fountain for kids to watch and play around, a huge plaza area where people just hang out, play music, sell crafts, and people watch. Inside the Centre, there are a few levels of museum galleries. Georges Restaurant is upstairs, where you have a nice view of the ...

    Château de Versailles

    Versailles, France
    91 reviews

I think I would have loved this if the gardens hadn't been too cold to tour. I would really like to go back when it's warmer, skipping the palace and just seeing the grounds. The palace was absolutely beautiful. I think for me, the most amazing part was the War Salon. The paintings were wonderful and I loved the open ...

    Palais Garnier - Paris Opera

8 Rue Scribe, Paris 75009 France
    90 reviews

Decadent and opulent. It's as if a jewelry maker came in and lathered the place in gold. I was fortunate to have seen the ballet here and was amazed by how lavish the stage was. Even if you're not into the opera or ballet, I recommend coming here just to see how beautiful the inside of the building is.
