One of the most historical meals in Boston can be had here, including the infamous and original Boston Cream Pie! The breakfast is expensive but the location is worth it. Last time I went I just happened upon Mitch McConnell, the currently minority leader of the Senate.Recommended for:

This institution still makes a mean Boston cream pie. The whole place is a bit of a snapshot of a different era, rightdown to the menu. That said, the food was very good and we really enjoyed our meal. It's well worth a visit.

Omni Parker House has a great restaurant, Parker's Restaurant, which made the original (first!) Boston Cream Pie. If you arrive too late though, the restaurant is closed, but you can still grab some basic entrees, desserts, and drinks at Parker's Bar. The Boston Cream Pie is delicious! It's not overly sweet, and the toasted almonds on the side and the chocolate on top really add to the overall flavor.
