The Hungarian Parliament, along with the Chain Bridge, is one of Budapest's most recognizable landmarks. Combining contrasting tones of red and white with innumerable spires the building is majestic and haunting at the same time. The Parliament is the site of outdoor concerts in the summertime and is also frequently host to protesters of government policy. If you take a walk along the Danube, be sure to take in this masterpiece.

Tours of the Parliament are held frequently, but reservations are highly recommended. My favorite part about this building is the exquisite marble featured inside, as well as the unbelievable views of the Danube you can see from the Parliament's balconies. It's worth learning the history behind it, too, as you'll get to appreciate the giant balls of iron that are symbolically embedded in the buildings across from the Parliament (signifying bullet holes fired from the Parliament during the Hungarian revolution).

The best photo would be the parliament bldg along the danube river. The danube is best seen here rather than Vienna. I guess the intricate design of the Parliament bldg adds to the overall charming site of the area.

Impressive. Reminds you that this really was a Dual Monarchy and that Hungarian nobles meant business. Celebrates a thousand years of Hungarian history.Recommended for:History Buffs

The Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház, which translates to House of the Country) is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary

Один из самых больших парламентов Мира и самое известное здание в Будапеште. Завораживает своей красотой днем и просто захватывает дух ночью в огнях подсветки. Лучшее место для обозрения - рыбацкий бастион на противоположном берегу Дуная.
