This is a gem of a park, right in the middle of Panama City. We were in Panama mostly for business and didn't get a chance to get out of town and explore the jungle or the countryside, so we LOVED our morning in this park. If you want to see monkeys, try to arrive really early, but you have a decent chance of seeing them even in off hours. We saw TWO capybara (cutest rodent award!) crossing our path in our hour and a half on the trail. If you call a couple days ahead of time you can also get a reservation to go up in the crane, so you can see straight into the canopy. I really wish we'd done this! Definitely will next time.

This is a beautiful park in Panama City. There are several hiking trails available and entry was $2.00 for any of the trails. There is a shorter 45 minute trail if you're tight on time, but there are also much longer trails that promise more opportunity to see some exotic animals.
We didn't see any birds or cool wildlife (decided on the 45-minute trail), but I know many other people did and it's really a great little retreat from the city if you're into nature.Recommended for:Spiritual Seekers
