No visit to Cozumel is complete with driving to the south end of the island to visit the national park of Punta Sur. Absolutely worth the fee. Follow the dirt road past the sea turtle egg laying zone and stop at the crocodile lagoon for your first encounter with the crocodiles and extraordinary birds that live here. In the winter, flamingos, ibis, heron's, many migratory birds build their nests on the mangrove islands. After you climb t the top of the lighthouse, drive back to the most beautiful beach on the island and if the waters are clear and calm snorkel over the shallow reefs. Take the pontoon boat tour of the lagoon. Great day trip!

Overall this is a nice national park. The reef is quite awesome and it's worth the swim out to see turtles, starfish, all kind of fish. The crocks in the swamps are also neat. I loved the light house. You can clime to the top and take amazing pictures. The beach used to be nicer though. It now seems a bit overcrowded and not as peaceful, but still worth checking out.

A well-maintained wildlife reserve in Cozumel. We spent half the day here exploring the crocodile barren swamps, swimming the colorful reefs and observing nature at its finest. The beach was a lot of fun, plenty of hammocks to doze off on. Check out the Mayan ruin and lighthouse on your departure!
