There are two sides of Pattaya and unfortunately the nasty side spills over onto the nice side. Much too touristy. Vendors are rude and pushy as everything is money, money, money.

I used to live in Bangkok and during the weekend I always go to Pattaya. You can go out during the night, there are many things that you can do.

The famous beach for tourists on east coast of Thailand. It's far from Bangkok about 130 kilometers. There are many hotels and attractions around the beaches, and also many kinds of entertainment.

This was Coral Beach which you have to take a speed boat from Pattaya! Really nothing to do but lay on the beach or shop.

I am writing this review as we loved t so much we went back three times to this wondeful place yes there are a lot of Gogo bars and strip joints however if you go to London you dont have to go to Soho Windmill and you can go to lots of other places of interest well Pattaya is just like that you take it ot leave it !!
We stayed at the Asiawan Hotel down on the Naklau Road area which is about 10 mins to the Busy downtown Area of Pattaya we went into town most days as once you have seen one bar you have seen them all same tacky loud music same gyrating young girls swinging themselves around posts sad to see you learn to ignore it as we did ....in the town we were able to shop till we dropped bartering is the order of the day and its great fun doing it as well some of the things we bought were really good quality and we picked up 100s of Dvds for peanuts we had a portable dvd player with us so we tested as we bought we didnt have any problems all worked and still do food is just awesome always made fresh and so healthy fresh fish and salads & fruit galore we ate well drinks are also cheap ..for sight seeing we went on a boat trip down to Hua Hin where the King takes his holidays beautiful sandy beaches and some fantastic Spas we had so many treatments done I felt great for a few months after returning our best treatment was havng our Teeth Whitened by laser fab and at 30 Pounds a steal we have had ths done each time we have been and its lasted we went to see the Elephants in their natural Habitat and they were delightful we had a ride into the jungle for the day and stayed in a treehouse which was awesome overlooking the Ocean it was heaven on earth ...the Golden Budda was a sight I will never forget people from every corner of the planet had come to offer thanks and gifts ....the ride on the open motorised Gondola type boat down the Chopraya river was like being in the films it was hair raising to say the least the best part was seeing all the boat people that actually live and work in their houseboats it was like a little village all packed in together their washing hangng from boat to boat all came out and gave us a wave they were selling fish and fruits and handmade goods very very cheap and we had some fresh fish cooked at the boatside and we were spoilt it was deliciious we didnt have problems with the food out there wether it was from the street vendors or the top eateries the markets were great try taking the Nana skytrain which takes you to the end of the road Terminus to us there is a market there that they reckon would take you three days to get round its an eclectic mix of old and new and if you are into anything old regarding American Vintage clothing you will be in Heaven we got label jeans jackets shorts etc...for peanuts..the Fake designer goods are sometimes really goood or really really bad so just take time to look
Top Tip is if buying more than one of the same item even if it s packaged insist you open and look at it before the biggest Scam is too let you look at the best one so you buy then when you buy more the goods are so bad rubish by that time you will have packed it away and handed over you money so check every item first f they dont want to let you do this walk away there are hundreds of sellers if there is nothng wrong ask yourself why ???
If you would like to book a holiday to Thailand please call me on my freephone 0800 810 8987 I am available 7 days a week to take your calls fully Abta & Atol so your holiday will be safe I can tailor make it to your own needs

During the Vietnam war Pattaya was an R&R stop for US service men. The party has never seemed to stop. This is not the place to bring family unless it is going on to another destination. It seems like the entire town is one big red light district.

Pattaya can be described as the Vegas of Thailand. That title cannot be easily awarded to a city but Pattaya fits that description very nicely.

    Tips:
Dont go with family, there are better beaches in thailand.
The town itself is catered to a certain crowd.. the gentleman type who are looking for female friends.

So, if you are planning on having the most epic epic bachelor party known to man.. well, pattaya might be the place for you..

Find Hotels in Pattaya:

Description

Of all of Thailand’s major tourist cities, Pattaya is certainly one of the most distinctive. For decades one of Pattaya’s primary tourist attractions was its, ahem, rather carnal and randy services, but recently Thailand has made an effort to reform and foster the city’s respectability. Families can now enjoy the excitement of riding an elephant bareback at the Pattaya Elephant Town, or be bedazzled by the unique and mysterious attractions at Ripley’s Believe-it-or-Not. Or, spend a day at Pattaya’s world-class golf courses, its impressive aquarium or take a Thai cooking course. To relax after all that stress, you can get a professional (and chaste) rubdown by a Thai masseuse, often found combing Pattaya's beaches. Take a ferry to Coral Island, where you can enjoy a delicious seafood lunch on the beach and get wonderful views of coral reef by way of a glass bottom boat. Pattaya’s nightlife is still a highlight on Walking Street and in Pattayaland, with hundreds of bars, go-go bars and ... read more
clubs. Hotels range from soulless high-rises to lush beachfront resorts, but all are priced to fill up quickly.
