Dec 7th, 1941. The attack on Pearl Harbor and the result provide the setting for the current sights. Here you will find the Welcome center and surrounding shops, information, and historical information. Next there is the USS Bowfin submarine, museum, USS Arizona Memorial, and USS Missouri Battleship. The Arizona is free but all others are at a cost.

If you haven't done Pearl Harbor then it is a must see. But I would only do it once! It gets really busy depending on the time of year and peak seasons, meaning you could be waiting up to 2 hours to get on the boat across to the submarine and ships that you can choose to go see. The history is good though and very interesting. Make sure you are prepared to spend the day travelling and waiting to get in though if your really keen!

One of the free things to do. Free parking as well. See the exhibits and the movie that you won't see on TV, it's great. Enjoy the afternoon visiting the exhibits as well. Free ferry boat ride to the memorial as well No need to buy tickets or an overpriced tourist package.

There is so much to see here that you can easily spend a full day. The experience is deeply moving and profoundly informative. It's hard not to get choked up.

Pearl Harbor is definitely a must-see place for those visiting O'ahu. There is so much history on war-era, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, sunken battleships, museums, videos, plaques, monuments, and artifacts. Plan on an all-day excursion if you want to see and go through the whole museum and historic site.

Pearl Harbor is legendary. We all know what happened in World War II and how it propelled America into the war. On this beautiful base, one can see remnants of that day at the USS Arizona Memorial. Located adjacent to Hickam Air Force Base, the decades had us going back and forth between the bases as they kept outdoing each other with base department store.
Today, Pearl Harbor's Navy Exchange is the winner.Recommended for:History Buffs
