A little pretentious and a lot over priced.
The cocktails are interesting and innovative, but more focus on the mixers than the alcohols themselves.
We liked - the sazarac, the Silver Monk, the Fig Manhattan.
Bee's Knees - dangerous lemonade.

Austin's first absinthe bar, specializes in over the fabled Green Fairy, with more than a dozen absinthe varieties and a lengthy "pre-Prohibition style" cocktail selection. The bartenders are experts, the decor is sophisticated and the dinner menu (changed daily) includes delicious "European comfort food," like veal sweetbreads and dumplings and roasted marrow french onion soup. It's a great place for a date, whether it's for a quick pre-dinner cocktail or indulgent all-night affair.

Wonderful speakeasy-esque bar - although you don't need reservations to get in - where the mixologists are whipping up cocktails and dressed post-Prohibition style. Loved my Willett Old Fashioned made by Mark, who was really cool. All day happy hour on Sundays and Mondays.

Popularized as being the "absinthe bar," this romantic spot earns that badge, but has much more to offer with deliciously crafted cocktails and gourmet appetizers as well. Not a huge fan of absinthe myself, I prefer the Wicked Witch or a Dark and Stormy. Whatever your game, sit at the bar for direct recommendation from your 'tenders, or cuddle up in a romantic table for two (but be prepared to wait). Located on the hip corner of Colorado and 4th St, parking can be a mess, but you still avoid the noisy tourist trap that is 6th St east of Congress.

Want a place that squeezes love into each drink? You got it. Incredible selection of old school cocktails and guys that know their sh*t when it comes to absinthe. Happy hour all day Sunday and Monday! Bartenders are dressed to mix and shake.
