- Peery HotelFirst to ReviewAug 19, 2012
The Peery has done an excellent job of melding the present with the past. The only Utah hotel on the National Register of Historic Places, the 102-year-old inn has been in continuous operation since it opened in 1910. Both history buffs and students of architecture will enjoy visiting the Prairie Style brick building with Classical Revival influences that can be noticed in many details, including the elegantly carved staircase in the hotel’s grand lobby.
The modern touches come into play in the 73 guest rooms recently updated in 2008, featuring period furnishings with Tempur-Pedic Beds, down bedding, iPod docking stations, Wi-Fi access and cable TV. Bathrooms range in size from old-fashioned “water closets” to contemporary full baths. There’s also a business center, Precor fitness area and dining options that include in-room Silver Tray Breakfast Service and an on-site Macaroni Grill for lunch and dinner.Recommended for:
