Pensacola Beach is located along the Florida panhandle. It's a small beach town without the tourists and is a popular beach destination in the South for those who want to get away, but without the hustle and bustle of the summer crowds.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

I just stayed at LePort Resort (a private home on VRBO) this summer (2013) and it was wonderful. The beach has sugar white sand with vivid blue/green water. It has such a local down home feel and you don't feel as though you have to "dress up" to go out. You can go to the beach all day and "go as you are" anywhere on the beach. I have gone to Destin beach for many years, however, Pensacola Beach is now my new vacation spot. Destin is so crowded and stuffy...Pensacola Beach is where the really beach lovers go for fun in the sun. LePort Resort is a great vacation home. Google it and book it and enjoy the sun, sand, suf....

This is such an underrated beach! It has the most beautiful white sand I've ever sink my feet into. It's surprisingly not crowded for a summer weekend. I think college is done for the summer so while we walking near the bay, we hear at least 3 places with loud music. It's fun and seafood here is inexpensive and fresh! One of the great many perks! It's a great family beach!Recommended for:Family Travelers

In my opinion, Pensacola beach is the most beautiful, peaceful beach on the Gulf Coast! The sands are bright white, the water is blue and so clear you can see the fish and seashells even in the waves!
And the sea shells, they are 'polished' straight out of the water, so beautiful!
