Tucked away in a chic neighborhood on the edges of the center of Athens, the Periscope gets you away from the most touristy, populated areas of the city. Nevertheless, it’s only about a 10 minute walk to Syntagma Square, so it’s convenient too. This is a small, modern, boutique hotel, providing a comfortable place to retire to. There is a small restaurant off of the lobby, where the complimentary breakfast is served, and internet is included with the room as well. They don’t have a business center, but if you didn’t bring your laptop, they’ll loan you one. No other amenities here, but with your room card you get free access to a local gym downtown. The walk down there takes about 10 minutes, and there is a spa there as well for additional pampering.Recommended for:

I like the quiet location, it’s out of the way concerning touristy areas and that has an appeal for me. And even though the superior double room is comfortable and quiet, the overall decor, gray in color predominantly, puts me in a lesser mood. The room’s view is of the building across the street at close range. It looks like luxury but lacks warmth. With a small bar and restaurant downstairs facing the street and use of the Holmes gym 10 minutes walk away, this hotel leaves me with just the safety and security of a quiet sleep. It’s location is on a hilly street perched in the Kolonaki area just a few blocks from the main square of Kolonaki where all the trendy restaurants, cafes and shops are. Just a few more minutes walk takes me to Syndagma square and towards the attractions in Plaka and Monastiraki.Recommended for:

I really liked this very stark, very modern hotel.
It is in the trendiest part of Athens in Kolonaki an area frequented by Fashionistas and The Euro Trash crowd.
I love everything about the hotel...
The vibe is that of a W Hotel and the people watching is unrivaled!
The room amenities include Korres Products and every imaginable comfort.
I cant wait to go back!!Recommended for:
