It's hard to beat the Marriott's location: just behind Larcomar, the beautiful mall built into the cliffs, with fantastic views over the Pacific. This is traditionally where many of the international musicians and celebrities stay, and it's not hard to see why. #Gogotip: The breakfast buffet here is fantastic and a great way to try many Peruvian foods (while enjoying ...

This hotel is the ultimate in old-school opulence. I've only been here for conferences and events, so I can't attest to the rooms, but I can't imagine they'd be anything but elegant given the beautiful state of the rest of the hotel. The grounds are green and gorgeous and the building itself, built in 1927, is a colonial-style estate that ...

Beautiful hotel and great location! The hotel was walking distance to the Plaza del Armas and other popular tourist sites. Upon check-in, we were treated to an upgraded room thanks to our Starwood Gold status. The suite was huge! We enjoyed the comfy bed and had a good night's sleep before a long day of travel. Most memorable was our ...

This hotel was so nice and the staff was very accommodating. They have a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning from 5-10am. Although it was a little difficult for us to find at first, it was still very close to the main square and other nice areas of Cusco. Get a room with a view -it is so fantastic!

The Sheraton Lima is near downtown and is a nice hotel built and maintained to western standards of comfort and security. The neighborhood it is in isn't the best, however, but is near government buildings. When I stayed here that was part of the problem, as there was a demonstration against the government in the town square not far from ...

Lovely property. The iconic place to stay in Cusco. The grounds, art collection, and service are exquisite. The pricing is exorbitant but worth it for the history. Rooms are small but attractive. Be sure to visit the chapel.

    Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge

    Hotel Class:
    4.5

The Sanctuary Lodge is all about location. This is a great place to stay for relaxing easy access to the ruins. That said, the pricing is exorbitant for what is basically a 3 star hotel. Service is excellent but at 1,100 USD a night during our stay, it was hard not to feel gouged. Rooms are very basic. There are ...

Titilaka, a unique Relais & Chateaux located property on Lake Titicaca in Southern Peru, was definitely a trek for me to get to. The lodge is about two hours south of the Juliaca airport and one hour south of the Puno bus/rail stations. After a long travel day, mainly due to delayed flights, my pain melted away the moment I ...
