Come see the Padres play at the incredibly comfortable Petco Park. Designed for all ages, the park boasts Sunday Festival for kids. Ground admission is as low as $5. Great Family Value.

A truly great place to see a baseball game, and I'm a huge major- and minor-league fan who has traveled across the country just to see my favorite teams play. If you've got kids, check out the lawn seating back by the playground area. If you're into local food, you can get fish tacos and Fillipi's pizza right at the park (of course, this being California, you can get sushi and wine, too). Omni Premier Club seats let you enter through the Omni hotel's dedicated gate (think of it like an express lane into the park) and also hang out in the bar area of the enclosed clubhouse, plus gets you seats right behind home plate. Score!

Whether you are a Padres fan or another team, go catch a game if you can, this park is something to see - amazing views of the city and a great park to catch a ball game. They have a little field for the kids to play on in the grassy area (those seats are just $5, so it's actually affordable too). Get your hotdogs and popcorn and cracker jacks and check out a day or night game, it will be fun no matter what!

Petco park home of the San Deigo Padres. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp district downtown. Beware a lot of the people in San Diego are not from San Diego so the team spirit is not as you would expect. It's great for family or out with friends. The lawn seats that are available are a great deal!

A beautiful ball park that brings life to downtown. $5/5 tacos on Tuesday nights.. what a great deal! Love to see my Giants play here!

San Diego = "Whales Vagina"
So as I continue my quest to visit every MLB baseball stadium I've decided to make Petco park my fourth one. First off, I can see why it is so hard to hit a home run in this ball park, it is freaking huge, and the seats go really high up. The view in the ball park is amazing and you can see Coronado Beach on one side and on the other side is a view of downtown SD. Petco Park is located in arguably the best area of SD, so major kudos.
As for the tickets, I decided to get the nosebleeds at the gate for a game against the Giants, which for $17, was pretty affordable. They have a number of good restaurants inside such as Hodad's. The parking here is $15, which isn't too bad, if you are willing to walk, there are plenty of parking lots for $10 less than half a mile away from the park. Also, since Petco is located in the Gaslamp district, there are plenty of places to eat around. Speaking of all the foods around Petco, Petco actually allows you to bring in food from the outside, which was awesome because I grabbed some lolita's carne asada fries in! Furthermore, because you're in Socal, the weather was great.
My main gripe is since the team is pretty cruddy, there are barely any fans and the stadium is pretty dead and most of the seats are empty. Overall, beautiful ball park, however, a beautiful ball park is pointless when it's so quiet because there is no one inside of it :/. I guess the padres need to stop playing like a bunch of whales.... (you know what I mean).
You stay classy San Diego!

Everybody knows baseball is the BEST sport of all! Petco Park is awesome even if the Padres aren't so great. Dont worry, this is just a cardboard cut out of Jake Peavy. That is my neighbor... Go down to Little Italy for dinner and then go to a game if you are in San Diego during baseball season.
