      take you out on a day-long boat trip to some of the best snorkeling/diving spots to see sharks, rays, manatees, and tons of fish. Well worth a few days.

      There are certainly secluded sections of Abergris Caye, especially if you venture as far north as you can go, but if you have the opportunity, escape to Caye Caulker for a few days. It's much less developed and, in my opinion, a lot more relaxing than much-more-commercialized San Pedro and surrounds. Also make sure to spend a day snorkeling or diving between the two cayes - there's endless stunning wildlife below the surface.
