The site is great and deserves at least 2 days to be well visited. The Siq, the Treasury, the altar of Sacrifice, the 2 Obelisks and the Monastery take your breath away, both for their beauty and for the considerable amount of energy required to reach the various sites ... just think that only to reach the Monastery must make more than 800 steps! There are many guys who propose the use of donkeys for this staircase but, pro-animal thoughts apart, the effort to walk is rewarded by the extraordinary beauty of Petra. The visit of the Royal Tombs, of the Amphitheater and Royal Theater, were all of great beauty, especially the latter which offers a breathtaking colors that change depending on how the sun spins, assuming different shades of pink red , from sunrise to sunset.Recommended for:

Petra is a breathtaking place. After walking from town through a canyon, The Treasury is visible through a sliver in the narrow passage. Emerging into the opening, you discover an architectural wonder—a city carved from the side of a mountain.
It's a tourist haven though, with kids forcing postcards and trinkets into your hands and camel and donkey drivers pestering you for a fare. Take the camel ride even though it seems expensive. Watch how the experts do it first do you don't fall off.
