    Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

    Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

    Hotel Class:

Great place to stay. In walking distance to tons of great restaurants and the train station is connected to the hotel. Also right across the street is Reading Terminal Market that has almost every type of cuisine in there. From fresh oysters to Cajun to Indian. Just to walk through and sample food is fun.

This hotel is very close to Independence Hall. The customer service is why I love this place and it is great for kids. Hit 0 on their phone and they deliver cookies and milk to kids at bed time. It isn't super expensive but gives you a luxurious feeling.

I thought the staff was great. They were friendly and able to place my husband and I in an adjoining room to my children and thier caregiver on a very busy weekend. The room was fine and spacious, with a great view of the city. The only downside for us was that the regrigerator did not keep things cold, and ...

    AKA Rittenhouse Square

    Hotel Class:

Guest suites here are enormous, amongst the biggest I've ever seen for a "hotel"! This is especially remarkable considering it's ideal location in downtown Philly. I was a bit apprehensive at first with their strictly long-term stay policy, but I quickly saw that the AKA isn't so much an extended stay hotel as it is a short stay home. You've ...

The Inn at Penn, a Hilton Hotel

The Inn at Penn is a hotel in the middle of the University of Pennsylvania, mostly there for alumni and students' families I think. It's elegantly decorated in dark woods and carpets and walls. The rooms are comfortable. I choose the Inn based primarily for its location since I was working nearby.

Stayed here for a night as we had an early flight the next morning. Was able to make it out to the Franklin Institute with the kids and make it back before traffic hit and then camp out the rest of the night in the hotel, including having dinner at the cool restaurant in the atrium. The only problem was ...

    Apple Hostels of Philadelphia

I was a bit overwhelmed by the size and all the amenities of this hostel. Not just a kitchen--a large, fully-stocked, meticulously labeled kitchen with vending machines and a giant island for prep. Not just a washer/dryer, a full laundry room with two walls of units. It was like a playground for college kids--Nintendo and TV, instruments lying around, chess ...

When I walked into the lobby there were kids running around and playing. It was a little confusing because the vibe was posh, but the kids were noisy and everyone seemed so comfortable and laid back. Then they told me there was a baby shower going on in the restaurant (it’s not exactly part of the hotel, but right on ...

Hmmm...how to explain this...I felt like I if Target made a hotel. Not the worst thing--Target is better than Walmart--but not exactly the escape you hope for in a hotel. The lobby just had that flourescent, big, cheap department store feel. And this diner? Restaurant? I don't know what they call it that felt like a food court. Once you ...

Wow, what a surprisingly nice hotel! I see there a lot of haters on the reviews here, so let me give you my take: me and a buddy wanted a quick weekend trip to Philly for some awesome cheesesteaks, various Italian and German food establishments, and to hit the Barcade we heard about. This hotel was perfect for our needs. ...

Funky, cool and chic, I'm really digging the Kimpton Hotels I've been to thus far - San Francisco, Baltimore and now here in Philadelphia. The Hotel Palomar converts a historic downtown Philly space into a perpetual Austin Powers cocktail party. Speaking of which, I absolutely love their daily afternoon wine receptions! Guestrooms are smart and comfortable. Great centralized location to ...

A nice hotel with a central downtown location. The rooms are recently updated and the staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed here for a conference and one day a huge group of conference attendees got caught in a torrential downpour on the way back to the hotel from the Franklin Institute. The front desk staff was standing in the ...

Very stylish hotel in a prime location. I wandered through lobby/lounge/art gallery for a minute before I could locate the actual front desk, and I felt like I was in a catalog for chic downtown living. I didn't love that first impression, but the room itself was stunning and s p a c i o u s. Hanging out in ...

This hotel use to be a bank and is a historical building. It's your typical Ritz, classy and swanky. There was an awesome cigar bar called The Vault which was actually in the old vault. I believe its closed though. The room are exactly what you would expect at a Ritz.

I stayed here for about a week during a professional conference. Our room was very nice with the LCD screen and Sleep Number Bed. The bathroom was a bit small and the temperature control was inconsistent. The staff really nice, friendly, and accomodating. The restaurant/bar was a very nice suprise with great drinks and delicious and reasonably priced food.

Very nice high-rise convention hotel. It meets all the basic requirements for comfortable business travel. My only big complaint is location. It's only 2 blocks from the convention center, but in an area that feels like downtown is tapering off. I really enjoy being in the heart of things in Philly and this feels off center. The height of the ...

The location is weirdly great. Its sandwiched on the second floor of a multi-story center city building. This keeps it relatively quiet even though its really smack dab in the middle of center city. There's a really good craft beer bottle shop close by called Foodery--look it up and grab some bottles to bring back to your room when you ...
