    The Phoenix Zoo

    Phoenix, AZ, USA
    39 reviews

This is a great zoo to visit, even without kids. Great setting, well maintained grounds, the animals look happy and healthy. Our favorite part was getting up-close and personal with the giraffes and being able to feed them (you have to pay a little extra for this). There is a nice petting zoo for the little kids. The Arizona Diamondbacks may not be the best team in the league this year but their glorious Chase Field is a must visit this summer. Thankfully, the huge roof that covers the stadium can open--to expose the beautiful Arizona night sky featuring sparkling stars--and it can close, protecting our faces from melting in the extreme afternoon summer heat.
