Oldest of the Spring Training facilities, the Oakland A's train here through 2014...then move to Mesa, Az Hohokam stadium for 2015. Easy access and parking. Close to downtown Tempe for after game fun!

Spring training home of the Oakland A's till 2015, then the Arizona State Sun Devils take over and call it home for their basball games. It has seen it share of major league legends and even those who wanted to be legends. Easy to get to using the light rail.

Phoenix Municipal Stadium is the home of Arizona State University Sun Devil baseball and the Cactus League home of the Oakland Athletics.

I'm not much for baseball, but this place is a great place to watch some. It has great seating, and some pretty good games. I like the night games the best, because it's just so hot in that town.

A smaller, more intimate park than Scottsdale Stadium. The staff is a bit friendlier, too. And since they have an adjoining parking lot, you don't have to scramble around city streets looking for a spot. Imagine in ye olden days when Phoenix was the Giants' AAA club and guys like Maddox, Matthews, and the elder Bonds played here. I really like the vibe here. The only downside is there are NO amenities nearby.

Description

The San Francisco Giants were the first major league baseball team to call this stadium their spring-training home; their famed slugger Willie Mays was the first to hit a home run out of the park in March of 1964. Twenty years later, the Oakland Athletics adopted the stadium as their site for spring training, with a contract that will last at least through 2014. The 8,500-seat stadium fills its ... read more
