If you should be heading toward the Musei Vaticani entrance and you don't see a long line near the Piazza del Risorgimento, you are in luck. Lines for the museums do stretch this far—nearly two blocks from the entrance—during peak seasons.
The PIazza del Risorgimento is a busy square connecting visitors to the Vatican and the nearby areas, particularly the beautiful Cola di Rienzo, a street known for its great food and clothing stores. At the heart of the piazza is a monument to the carabinieri crafted by sculptor Stanislao Grimaldi in 1886.
Piazza del Risorgimento may not be the prettiest square in Rome, but it's certainly one offering lots to see.Recommended for:
