The most famous square of Baroque Rome!! It follows the plan of the ancient Domitian's Stadium of the 1st century. You can rest at one of the nice café and enjoy the beautiful fountains and the church of Bernini and Borromini.

I had some pretty bad service at a restaurant that kind of hit me in a bad way, combined with the fatigue of walking all day and eating something with too much fat and salt (I still love you, porchetta, but we should probably be fair-weather friends).
Piazza Navona is beautiful enough to wash any bad feelings away.
It is my favorite piazza in Rome, with the Museo di Roma on one end, the grand Sant'Agnese in Agone in the middle and shops all around, it's a place full of people and fountains and fun. Bernini's Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi is breathtaking, and I could spend hours just circling it, listening to all the music coming from street performers throughout the square.
It is Disneyland for anyone that loves old-world culture.

Gorgeous plaza that is removed enough from the major sights to retain its charm. One of my two favorite plazas in the city.
