This was our first taste of Venice having arrived via the Airport Bus. It doesn't make a very good first impression, as it is just as manic as anywhere else in Italy that involves wheeled transport. However, we eventually found our bearings and the ACTV Information Office.

What a let down, to be wandering around this fantastic maritime landscape full of boats and footbridges and then wander into a parking lot. I know they have to keep the cars somewhere but stay away from Piazzale Roma as it's a major buzz kill.

Arriving here always makes me sad, because it usually means I'm leaving Venice.
