Piccadilly Backpackers Hostel

Here A. This was the first hostel I tried in London. The best about this place is its location, at Picadilly Circus. Quite easy to find, you are just at the earth of London, and next to Soho bars! If you are young party people, this is the place you must rent! Piece of advice : you need to bring ...

We got lost trying to get there, and then proceeded to get lost within the museum as well. Stunning classical art, but we'll opt for the shock and awe campaigns waged at the Tate over classics, anyday.

St. James Park is between Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. Its long straight paths are lined with flowers and benches. Not the most memorable place in the world but a nice place to walk in central London.

On a sunny afternoon, no better people watching can be found than sitting in Leicester Square. Situated in West End in the heart of the theatre and cinema district, there's bars and restaurants, shops of all variety and booths selling half priced theatre tickets. Cars aren't allowed so the square is a sea of pedestrians of every age and shape.

I have to say this was one of my favorite things in London. There is a huge parade/processional. The Royal band plays a few songs. After that they go through whole changing of the guards. Make sure you see it. I believe it is only done twice a week or something.

This is a lovely church to visit, and they offer some great concerts. The Academy of St. Martin-in-the-fields orchestra is outstanding! If you visit the crypt in the basement, they offer brass rubbings - its fun to do, and could make a very nice souvenir with the right mat and frame. Fun for kids, too.

    Prince Charles Cinema

0.25 mi from Piccadilly Backpackers Hostel
    5 reviews

The Prince Charles Cinema is the only reason I ever go to Leicester Square - to see really cheap, throwback films like Labyrinth or rare documentaries like Of Time and the City. It's cheapest if you're a member, but still a fraction of the price of a normal ticket in another cinema if you're not.
