Piknic is a great date spot or if you're just looking to chill at the bar, dine out on the patio area on a beautiful day, or have lunch with a friend. Either way, it works.
We came here as sort of a late birthday celebration. A wall of water separates the dining area from the bar. We sat at the bar with a few locals and caught the game and some bar banter. It was a good vibe. I was impressed with a low lighting, moody decor, and seats. Some bar stools can be uncomfortable, these were actually padded so that you could stay, dine, and visit for a bit especially if you're watching the TV that's above the bar area. Nice.
For dinner, there's a main menu and a bar menu. We ordered from both and took some suggestions from patrons and the bartender. We came up with nachos, pesto flatbread, and the blackened shrimp. All great suggestions that lived up their name.
Service was friendly and quick. The bartender kept the vibe going, kept the drinks flowing (strong!), and it was a fun place to dine for the night. I'd love to be back to try the other menu offerings and chill in the dining room.

I've eaten here twice (dine in and delivery) and I just don't think it's the right quickie lunch place for me.
Chicken Caesar Wrap - 2/5 ($8.95)
If you like TONS of crunchy and dry pieces of chicken wrapped with very LITTLE lettuce, this is the wrap for you! This thing was so dry that I had to use the salad dressing from my side salad to add more flavor! You have a choice between fries or a side salad. The portion of side salad that came with the wrap was generous.
Oriental Chicken Salad - 1/5 ($8.95)
There nothing great about this salad, there was more shredded red cabbage and carrots (not listed on menu) than other toppings. The Mandarin oranges and almonds (listed on menu) were so skimpy that there were only a few pieces of oranges and NO almonds. The "grilled marinated chicken breast" was actually pretty plain, if marinated at all. This was not the taste of a gourmet salad.
DELIVERY - 1/5
I ordered over an hour ahead of time, specified a delivery time, followed up with 3 different calls and it still was delivered late! Our office is literally the building next door!
I would not recommend Piknic because their food was pretty disappointing and they did not have a sense of urgency for delivery orders placed 1 1/2hrs ahead of time. What really sucked was that there were other orders from Piknic that were delivered well ahead of mine (according to reception).
