The Pinacoteca holds modern art exhibitions and, sometimes, international itinerating exhibitions as well. It was originally built to host an art school back in 1905 and the architecture of the building is beautiful, all in apparent bricks, almost looking unfinished. Check the exhibition program before coming to São Paulo.

A must-see in Sao Paulo, Pinacoteca offers the best curated contemporary and modern art from Brazil and around the world. Is a great place to understand the brazilian artists and their colors bursting. Besides the museum it has a beautiful garden, bookshop and cafe. Free entrance on thursday 5pm-10pm

This is a great museum to visit, and get a feel for what Brazilian art history is about. It's also a stunning old building, in the heart of the old city, surrounded by several other interesting attractions!Recommended for:History Buffs
